Niina Ōiso (大磯 新那, Ōiso Niina) is a supporting character of the series. She is a member of Otobuki High School's Game Club.

Appearance[]

Niina is an attractive teenage girl of average height with long brown hair that has bangs hanging on either side and brown eyes.

She is seen wearing her school uniform though she leaves the top button undone to reveal a black blouse underneath.

Personality[]

Niina prefers to play fighting games but due to this, she becomes distant and reclusive from her clubmates.

However, she appears to be kind as she gave Keita Amano a souvenir from the club after he was asked to join by the other members.

Background[]

According to Karen Tendō, Niina plays games due to trying to get her friend back from the "dark side". It is unknown what this statement really means but the only thing shown is that Niina plays games, so much that she barely associates with others.

In the light novels, she meets Tasuku Uehara and forms a friendship with him, often addressing him as “Fake Umehara” in conversation to reference how they played a fighting game against each other when they first met.

The DLC reveals that she goes by the username SALT0519 when playing online fighting games (referencing how the letters in her surname can be rearranged to spell the Japanese word for salt) and she has a one-sided rivalry with a player called Torabasami (a.k.a. Ayumu Kiriya). Between the two, Niina is the superior gamer and comes out victorious more often, but she does not reciprocate her opponent’s negativity and considers them friends.

Upon graduating from Otobuki, Niina and Gakuto both enroll in the same local college as Ayumu Kiriya and Ao Saika.
